Introduction

Wayne Studios LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Confidants mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Your email address, name, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
• User Content: Chat messages you send to your Confidants, journal entries, and any content you create within the app.
• Confidant Settings: The names, appearances, and personality preferences you choose for your AI Confidants.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app, such as features used and session duration.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Confidants service
• Process your conversations with AI Confidants
• Generate journal entries and weekly recaps
• Remember context from previous conversations
• Process subscription payments through the App Store
• Send important service-related notifications
• Improve and develop new features

How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored using Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II certified cloud database provider built on PostgreSQL. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption.

We use Row Level Security (RLS) so that database queries can only return your own data.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide the app:

• Supabase: Provides authentication and database services. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat: Manages subscription payments through the App Store. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Apple: Processes payments for subscriptions. We do not receive or store your payment card information.

AI and Your Data

Your messages are processed by AI language models (currently Anthropic's Claude) to generate responses.

Under our enterprise API agreements:

• Your conversations are not used to train AI models
• All data is encrypted in transit (TLS)

We generate vector embeddings of your journal entries to enable semantic search and context recall.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete all associated data, including:

• Your account information
• All chat messages and conversations
• All journal entries
• All Confidant configurations
• All vector embeddings

This deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Export: Download your journal entries and conversations
• Delete: Delete your account and all associated data
• Correct: Update or correct your account information

Children's Privacy

Confidants is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
